Robert M. Wright, a revered figure in the Dodge City community for fifty years, left an indelible mark on the region when he passed away on January 4, 1915. His remarkable contributions earned him a distinguished obituary in the Dodge City Daily Globe. In tribute to his enduring legacy, Keith Wondra, the curator of the Boot Hill Museum, will present an inspiring account of Wright's life. This presentation will delve into his vital roles in the Santa Fe Trail and the Western Cattle Trail, showcasing his profound impact on the history of the region. The Western Cattle Trail Association thanks the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas for their continued support of the Dodge City Days Wrangle. Through their grant money we are able to bring a wide range of speakers and subject matter to the people of our historic City.
